Dr. Pallavi Rai is working as Associate Professor and Head of Pharmacognosy Department at Ram-eesh Institute of Vocational and Technical Education, Greater Noida, U.P., India. She has completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy (2003), Master of Pharmacy (Herbal Drug Technology)(2005) and PhD. (2009) from The M S. University of Baroda, India. She received Gold medal in both B.Pharm and M.Pharm by The M.S. University Alumni Association for meritorious performance. She also has done Post graduate Diploma in Intellectual property rights (2008) from IGNOU, India with first division. Dr. Pallavi has teaching and research experience of around 10 years. Dr. Pallavi has received UGC Junior Research Fellowship, Women’s Scholarship by TIFAC and University Research Fellowship by The M.S. University of Baroda for her research work. She has demonstrated success in analytical method development and validation for new chemical entities using various sophisticated instruments (HPLC, HPTLC, Spectroscopic methods). She also has experience in separation and isolation of NCEs from biological samples and characterization of the same using IR, NMR and MS. She has numerous research and review publications in national and international journals with good impact factor. Dr. Pallavi has received many financial grants from various Government bodies for research activities. She is the nominated expert member of PEMC of IMR scheme at CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Dr. Pallavi is reviewer and Editorial board member for many reputed journals.
Dr. Pallavi Rai has been working on the validation of the method of preparation of Ayurvedic medicines since 10 years. She has expertise in analytical method development for herbal formulations. The areas of interest for the ayurvedic preparations are cardiovascular system and Skin.
