Raed ABDENNABI is a Dr. in Biological Sciences (University of Sfax, Tunisia,University of Pharmacy Athens,Greece), M.Sc in Microbiology (Faculty of Sciences,Sfax Tunisia), PhD in Natural Products Chemistry (University of Sfax, Tunisia,University of Pharmacy Athens,Greece), and concluded his Post-Doctoral in Natural Products and Biological activities at Faculty of Sciences,Sfax, Tunisia and another Post-Doctoral in Human Biology and Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine Sfax,Tunisia. Currently, he works is Post Doc Researcher at Faculty of Medicine Sfax. His teaching activities are related to Biology. He has supervised more than 13 M.Sc. and 2 PhD candidates in the field. His expertise is related to Food Chemistry, Dairy Foods, Authenticity of Foods, Functional Foods. His scientific competence is internationally recognized by reviewer’s positions in prestigious journals such as Food Chemistry (Elsevier), Toxicology Letters (Elsevier), Environmental Toxicology and Pharmacology (Elsevier),Medicinal Chemistry Research (Springer)… His work resulted with strong publication record, with more than 14 articles and 1 book.
The primary focus of my research is directed toward the extraction and the purification of biomolecules from medicinal plants and and its biological activities in vitro and in vivo. Our current research involves three lines of investigation: 1) develops new methods of extraction of molecules and oils; 2) the study of several pharmaceutical biological activities; and 3) discover the mechanism of action of biomolecules. The aims of these investigations are to the discovery of new drugs used for the treatment of several serious diseases.
