Biography

Prof. Francisco Maffioletti Celedon currently Professor and Researcher at the Faculty of Psychology of the Diego Portales University; President of the Chilean Institute Foundation for the Study of Violence (ICEV); representative for Chile of the Latin American Association of Legal and Forensic Psychology; member of the Academic Committee of the Master in Legal Psychology and Forensic Psychology; Researcher member of the Thematic Network of Forensic Sciences, belonging to the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); Coordinator and principal investigator of the Iberoamerican team of Psychology, Iberoamerican Institute of The Hague (IIH), based in the Netherlands. Professor of various postgraduate programs: Adult Psychiatry and Child-Juvenile Psychopathology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Chile; Diploma of Family Law, Faculty of Law of the Alberto Hurtado University; Master in Legal and Forensic Psychology at the Universidad de la Frontera; Master's Degree in Mental Health Applied to the Forensic, National University of La Plata (Argentina); Academic Director of the Course Statement Validity Assessment and the Course Psychopathology and Forensic Psychology, both in the Judicial Academy of Chile. He was Deputy Director of the Unit Specialized in Sexual and Violent Crimes, as well as Deputy Director of the Unit Specialized in Adolescent Criminal Responsibility and Medical Negligence, both in the National Prosecutor's Office of the Public Ministry of Chile; He was Head of the Department of Expert Evaluation to Imputed and Witnesses of the Criminology Institute of the Investigative Police of Chile; and Secretary General of the Ibero-American Association of Legal Psychology. In the field of publications, he has written 9 books, edited 8 more, and published 38 articles.
