Abhiraj Bhimani is currently an M.D. candidate for the class of 2019 at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, with an interest to pursue a career in neurosurgery. He has been awarded as The James Scholar for Independent Study Program and has received Dr. C. M. Craig Fellowship for his research in spinal cord injury. He has published several manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for several journals.

Dr. Abhiraj Bhimani's research interests are include acute spinal cord injury treatment, targeted drug delivery for intramedullary spinal cord tumors as well as for vertebral metastasis, and traumatic brain injury.
