Biography

Dr Shashvat Sukhal is core clinical faculty for the pulmonary and critical care fellowship program and the internal medicine residency program at the John Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois. He recieved his undergraduate medical degree at the Armed Forces Medical College at Pune, India. He completed internal medicine residency and pulmonary, critical care fellowship training at the John Stroger Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where he has continued to serve as a clinical faculty. His research experience is focused on efficient healthcare delivery, especially outpatient early diagnostic centers for cancer, various aspects of critical care such as extracorporeal oxygenation for severe influenza pneumonia and timing and indications of intubation in critically ill patients. He has published several systematic reviews and meta-analysis in peer reviewed journals, and has presented clinical research in various international conferences and society meetings.
