Dr.Prashanth N T teaches Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Dayananda Sagar College of Dental Sciences. He is currently the Associate Professor at the Department. Previously he has been associated with several prestigious institutions during his study as well as after his Post Graduation. He has been tactically trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Deralakatte and has subsequently worked at the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopedics. He is an avid clinician who always hones his skills to the benefit of the Institution/ Hospital/ Clinics that he has been associated with. Dr.Prashanth NT is the University appointed PhD Guide in the subject of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, this being apart from the Post Graduate Guideship under the same University. Dr.Prashanth has several research publications to his credit with most of his work being published in PUBMED indexed Reputed International Journals as well as National Journals. Dr.Prashanth NT has been particularly interested in the research involving the subject of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery especially involving the psychological aspects of facial trauma/surgery. He has been the Co-Guide for several Post Graduate Dissertation studies taken up at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Dayananda Sagar College of Dental Sciences. His particular interest in the subject lead him to pursue his PhD Degree and he subsequently conducted and completed a PhD Research study on the ‘Psychological Sequelae of Facial Injuries’, a study that was highly appreciated both Nationally as well as Internationally. His study has been quoted in the Textbook of Emergency Medicine by Rosen.
