Dr. Elisabetta Esposito has taken her degree on Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology taken at the University of Ferrara in Italy in 1991. She earned PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1997 at the University of Ferrara, discussing the thesis "Microparticulate and semisolid systems for controlled release of drugs". From 1998 to 2002 she studied "New carriers for gene therapy” with a post-doc fellowship at Pharmaceutical Sciences Department of Ferrara University. From 2003 to 2008 she was Adjunct Professor of “Chemistry of Cosmetic products” at the Pharmacy Faculty of the University of Ferrara. From 2004 to 2008 Fellowship by Emilia Romagna Region Spinner Project for “CoReS Techno” business venture. From 2012 to 2016 Adjunt Professor for Master of Cosmetic Science and Technology, teaching “Research and Development of New Ingredients and Cosmetic Products” at the Pharmacy Faculty of the University of Ferrara. From 2013 to present Elisabetta Esposito has been Adjunct Professor of “Galenic Laboratory” at the Pharmacy Faculty of the University of Ferrara. In 2014 she gained the scientific italian qualification of Associate Professor in the academic field “Chemical basis of technology applications.” From 2012 to present she obtained a research fellowship belonging to the research Italian Ministry of Health program “FIRB 2010” with title: “Nanosystem formulative study for brain delivery and targeting of cannabinoids”. Elisabetta Esposito has published more than 100 articles in peer reviewed international scientific journals.
Dr. Elisabetta Esposito's Research intrests are Drug delivery systems, Supramolecular systems (microspheres, liposomes, niosomes, lipospheres) for antitumor and antiviral drug delivery, Production and characterization of formulations for topic administration (microemulsions, gels) of antitumor and antiviral molecules, Solid lipid nanoparticles as drug delivery systems for antiparkinson’s therapy, Cubosomes ad drug delivery systems.
