Dr. Kais Rtibi is a Researcher in Laboratory of Functional Physiology and Valorisation of Bioresources-Higher Institute of Biotechnology of Beja at Jendouba-University, Tunisia. He received his master degree in Functional Biomolecules and Regulations, Department of Biology at University of Tunis, Faculty of Sciences of Tunis-Tunisia in 2008. Then, he joined the Laboratory of Functional Neurophysiology and Pathologies, Department of Biological Sciences at the same University, for a PhD degree where he focused on modulation of the gastrointestinal activities by the total extract of the pods of Ceratonia siliqua L .: Physiological and biochemical studies. He worked as a Post-doctoral Research Associate in the Laboratory of Functional Physiology and Valorisation of Bioresources at Jendouba-University during which he studied the pharmacological effects of medicinal plants on gastrointestinal physiological parameters.
Dr. Kais Rtibi's main research interests include Phytochemical properties and pharmacological effects of medicinal plant on gastrointestinal physiological parameters in vitro and in vivo. He has been an author in various papers published in Food Science, Journal of Medicinal Food, Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, Science of Food and Agriculture Journals.
