Sharef W Sharef Al-Mulaabed had passion towards Medicine since early childhood. The idea of dedicating his life to improving the lives of children is very appealing to him, hence, his dream has always been to to become a well trained pediatrician. Throughout his journey in medical school and later in practice, he had been creative, enthusiastic, and always had a distinct to go up. He ranked the first graduate from medical school. He initially practiced pediatrics in Oman and Ireland for 6 years, before joining pediatric training in the United States. Working in these three countries, he learnt sympathy, dedication, and patience, as well as valuable amount of knowledge and communication skills too. In addition, he has been extensively involved in research and contributed in a number of studies and publications in peer reviewed medical journals or international conferences, with topics related to sickle cell disease, celiac disease, H. pylori infection, type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, urinary tract infection, and premature survival, and necrotizing enterocolitis.
Sharef W Sharef Al-Mulaabed continues to be highly active and had participated in many scholarly activities in pediatric field, with special interest in pediatric gastroenterology. Through research, he is trying to evaluate diseases of children in order to improve current practice and provide better patient care.
