Dr. Rajesh Komati is a research associate in the department of chemistry at Xavier university of Louisiana. He received his PhD from University of New Orleans, New Orleans, USA in 2013. He received Dr. Reddy’s laboratories “spirit of excellence” award for 2005-2007. He did postdoctoral training in the department of chemistry, Xavier University of Louisiana, New Orleans, LA from 2014-2016. Later on he promoted as a Research associate and working in the same university.

His research interest is to develop novel therapeutic ligands for various diseases. It involves designing of new ligands for various receptors particularly for liver X receptor by using computational models and followed by synthesizing and biological evaluation of the optimized library of compounds. In addition Dr. Komati is also involved in the development of new anti angiogenic drugs that could be used in cancer treatment. He is also actively collaborating in several biological and animal studies conducted at the Tulane University and department of pharmacy at Xavier university of Louisiana.
