Dr. Tarif Khair is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences at El Paso. He received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital System in Dallas. Dr. Khair completed his fellowship in Cardiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Khair is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr.Khair enjoys teaching medical students, residents and cardiology fellows, and has published several papers in peer-reviewed publications in his field.
Dr. Tarif Khair clinical and research interest is in management of coronary artery disease, valvular disease, and pericardial disease in the cancer population and non-invasive testing in the early detection and management of cardio-toxicity as a result of conventional or targeted chemotherapy.
