Dr. Mao Genhong obtained his doctorate from Peking University, china, in 2009. He was engaged in human assisted reproduction in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. Dr. Mao directed his research to differentiation of human embryonic stem cells into insulin producing cells from 2005. Under supervision of Professor Chen Gui-an, Peking University Third Hospital, from 2005 to 2008, they found a five-stage protocol with adding exendin-4, which might be an effective protocol on the differentiation of human ES cells into islet-like cells. Furthermore, resembled pancreatic beta cells were produced in his recent research. He is a Member of Chinese Medical Association. To his credit there are many awards of honor & publications in medical periodicals and conference abstracts.
