Dr. Karol G Oliveira is federal employee at National Primate Center (CENP)/Evandro Chagas Institute (Ministry of Health – Brazil) in Laboratory of Reproduction as researcher and technical manager. She also is member of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Medicine of Amazonian Wild Animals (BIOMEDAM – Federal University of Pará, Brazil). Karol has been working on in vitro reproduction of Neotropical primates at CENP since 2005. She has experience of research work on semen collection, sperm cryopreservation and in vitro oocyte maturation. She has done reproductive studies with captive (CENP) and free living (at Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve, Amazonas, Brazil) Neotropical primates during her Doctor Degree. She has participated of numerous research projects and has published 12 articles in scientific journals, several abstracts and poster presentation in national conferences.
Dr. Karol G Oliveira has interest in researches related to Animal Science, Reproductive Biotechnology (sperm analysis, gametes cryopreservation, artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization), Wild Conservation, Andrology and Gynecology. In addition, she has interest in clinical problems of male and female animals in general.
