Biography

Dr. Sareesh is a faculty member of the Department of Physiology, RAK College of Medical Sciences. RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. He undertook his PhD in the Department of Physiology, Melaka Manipal Medical College, Manipal Univeristy, India. Dr. Sareesh has expertise in experimental research with interest and sound knowledge of working in Neuroscience and Innovative Teaching Methods (Medical Education). He lectures all areas of human physiology to medical and bachelor of pharmacy students.


Research Interest

Dr. Sareesh is interested in neurosciences, electromagnetic biology, effects of plant extracts/products on brain & behavior, and medical education. He is also keen on developing a few novel modifications in certain experimental methods and these include histological staining procedures (Golgi-Cox staining) and animal behavioral tests (light dark box test and Morris water maze testes). He functioned as principal investigator for funded research projects and active in conducting several collaborative research works.
