Professor Amal Saad-Hussein is professor researcher of Environmental Health and Preventive Medicine. She is the Dean of Environmental Research Division and the Former Head of Environmental and Occupational Medicine Department (EOMD), National Research Centre (NRC). Her main research interests was environmental health impacts, climate change health vulnerability and adaptations, and occupational risk assessment. Recently, her main research interests have been focusing of environmental toxicology and gene susceptibility. She established environmental toxicology unit in NRC, and created environmental molecular biochemistry specialty in EOMD during she was the Head the department. In May 2017, she was elected as Secretary General of the Pan African Environmental Mutagen and Genomic Society (PAEMGS), an African Society and part of the international society "Environmental Mutagen and Genomic Society", and she is the Deputy-Head of the Egyptian Environmental Mutagen Society an Egyptian Scientific Society part of the PAEMGS (since 2015- up to date). She is also member in the National Committee for Toxicology, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt. She was awarded for Certificates of Excellence in Scientific Productions for 6 years from 2010 to 2015. She is granted Prize of Environmental Research and Environmental Education from the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (2007), and Technological Creation Prize of National Research Centre (2006). Dr. Amal has published 75 peer-reviewed papers covering environmental toxicology, occupational health hazards, and environmental molecular susceptibility. She is the principle investigator and member in several national and international research projects. She serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Egyptian Journal of Environmental Research (EJER), and member in the editorial committee of International Journal of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (IJESE). She is reviewer for Journal of Experimental and Human Toxicology, Journal of Gastrointestinal Cancer, Journal of Toxicology and Industrial Health, Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health Science, and Journal of Society of Arab Medical Researches.
