Biography

Sphoorti Shellikeri is a Biomedical engineer with over four years of research experience in the field of medical imaging, currently working as a clinical research assistant at the Department of Radiology, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. My work is mainly focused on the study of utility of novel imaging technology for research and clinical interventions. My job involves working closely with physicians from the department of Interventional Radiology in testing and implementation of innovative imaging software. My research interests include medical imaging, Interventional radiology imaging, C-arm CT among others. More specifically, I am working on research projects on image-guided IR interventions, MR-guided interventions, contrast enhanced ultrasound, intravascular ultrasound, and optical coherence tomography in pediatric patients. I am also responsible for executing multiple research projects at the Radiology department and in collaboration with Siemens Healthcare, perform numerous scientific research study presentations at various Radiology conferences and I am also involved in authoring scientific research papers.
