Dr Yi-Cheng Chen M.D. graduated from Taipei Medical University in 1993. He completed his fellowship training at the department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Lin-Kou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan. He is now an associate professor and working as an attending physician there. Dr Chen specializes in the liver diseases of chronic viral infection, especially in the study and management of chronic hepatitis B and C. His role at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital involves managing patients of in-patient and out-patient settings, as well as a doctor in the interventional ultrasonographic center. He has been involved in many global clinical trials of chronic hepatitis B and C infection. He also has published papers discussing the natural history and treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
Dr Yi-Cheng Chen’s research interests are the chronic liver diseases of chronic hepatitis B and C, including natural course and treatment, clinical course and management of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
