Biography

Ines Hipolito is a post graduate researcher at the University of Wollongong, Australia. Her work focuses mostly on Philosophy of Mind and Cognition. Inês has been honoured over 15 awards and scholarships from institutes and universities around the world, including the University of Oxford (2015), the British Association for Cognitive Neuroscience (2015), and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (2015). She has published articles in top scientific journals, edited books and special issues, contributed to international scientific meetings, and co-organized international events in the area of Philosophy of Psychiatry.


Research Interest

Her work focuses on contemporary trends in embodied cognitive science, and non-reductive metaphysics of perception. In philosophy of psychiatry I am particularly interested in the philosophical understanding of mental illness, based on qualitative research and phenomenological analysis.
