Francesco Giudici was born in Fiesole (Florence, Italy) in 1980. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Florence during October 2005 (110/110 cum laude) with final thesis titled:“Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST): prognostic factors, surgical therapy and follow-up”. During the period 2005-2011 attended the post-graduate school in General Surgery with final thesis titled:“Surgical Management of Insulinomas in Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type1”(70/70 cum laude). During the period 2012-2015 he obtains the PhD degree in Surgical Sciences at University of Florence, with final thesis titled:“Natural history of GEP-NETs in MEN1 syndrome”. From 2013 he is Assistant Professor in Surgery at the University of Florence with clinical activity as surgeon in the tertiary hospital AOU Careggi in Florence. Clinical and research activities as investigator in clinical trials, professor in Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Sciences in Nursing, Post-Graduate School in Surgery at University of Florence. Master's Degree in Research Methodology in 2007. Master’s Degree in laparoscopic suturing techniques in 2010. He has published 44 articles in international magazines and has presented communications in academic sessions and congresses, he is author of surgical books chapters and surgical DVD, and author of more than 30 posters in different national and international congresses. He is part of national and international Scientific Societies (n°6), Reviewer for International Journals (n°7), Member of the Editorial Board of international Journals (n°7). He has participated in different competitive research projects and he has been winner of a Scientific Award. He has been requested “Assessor” for the European Reference Networks (ERNs) for rare or low prevalence complex diseases for the Andalusian Agency for Healthcare Quality. Actually he is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Florence, Italy.
Francesco Giudici research interests are general surgery, abdominal surgery, surgical oncology, endocrine surgery; inflammatory bowel diseases; multiple endocrine neoplasia syndromes, rare diseases.
