Biography

Vanesa Gregorc received her medical degree from the University of Perugia, Italy and she was clinical and laboratory research fellow in Oncology at University Hospital in Udine and Perugia, Italy till 2001. Dr Gregorc is the Clinical Area Coordinator of Thoracic Oncology, Head and Neck and Melanoma at Department of Oncology, and Research group leader in the Division of Molecular Oncology at Scientific Institute San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy. She deals with translational research and clinical studies (Phase I-II-III) in Oncology. She is contract professor for Oncology at MD International Program, University Vita-Salute San Raffaele in Milan, Italy. She is actively involved in Italian Ministry of Health activities to promote and supervise Italian National Scientific Institutes since 2011. She is also clinical leader for Italian Ministry of Health Task Force on Lung Cancer. She is a member of ESMO, ASCO, IASLC and AIOM Societies and a founder of the Italian Lung Cancer Community, Lucenetwork to promote collaboration on clinical trials.


Research Interest

She has an interest in carcinogenesis, proteomics and in the identification of novel biomarkers, targets and development of novel agents for the therapy of solid tumors, particularly in lung cancer and mesothelioma. Her manuscripts have been published in such peer-reviewed journals as Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer, J Clin Oncol, J Natl Cancer Inst, Lung Cancer, Ann Onco, British Journal of Cancer and Lancet Oncology.
