Dr Shahab Uddin graduated from Sylhet M.A.G Osmani, Medical College in 1993. After completing four years of postgraduate training in pediatrics in King Fahad Specialist Hospital, Buraidah, K.S.A, he joined MCH, Buaraidah, K.S.A as a registrar in the neonatal intensive care unit. He had the opportunity to work with King Abdulaziz University Hospital as a specialist in the pediatric critical care unit, and pediatric cardiac ICU from 2006 to date. He received postgraduate membership MRCPCH(UK) from the Royal College of Pediatric and Child Health, UK.He is also member of , Royal college of Physicin,Edinburgh,Royal college of Physician and Surgeon of Glasgow. He is actively involved in patient safety and healthcare quality, and accreditation in King Abdulaziz University Hospital. He received his TeamSTEPPS master trainer certification from the Department of Defense and the Agency of Healthcare Research, USA in January 2016. He has also completed many certification courses on healthcare quality and patient safety from many institutes, such as the Institute of Healthcare Improvement, University of Florida, UNSW Australia, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He got the fellowship,FISQua, from International society of healthcare Quality, Ireland Dr.Mohammed got many certification on biostatistics & medical research from Jhons Hopkins University , USA . He got the population health leadership graduation “ I-CAN Scholar” from , Institute of health care improvement,May 2016. He would like to build up his career in healthcare quality and patient safety as well as healthcare accreditation & medical research to implement triple aim of IHI, improving the patient experience of care ,including quality and satisfaction,improving the health of populations; ,reducing the per capita cost of health care.
Mohammed Shahab uddin Research Interests are to create a high standard critical care service by transforming evidence based medicine into practice, reduce healthcare waste by implementing lean & Six Sigma methodologies that will lead a high quality service and ensure a safety environment for the healthcare customers as well remodeling health care services to data driven health care industries focus on “Pay for Performance”.
