Dr. Fan Zhang is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University, Canada. She undertook her PhD in the Program of Educational Technology and Learning Design in the same university. Her research is grounded in sociocultural theory. She investigates how the social and cultural resources mediated by technologies affect people’s thinking, learning, and social interaction. Dr. Zhang is interested in evidence-based practice. She has experience of conducting systematic review, meta-analysis review, mixed-methods research, qualitative research, and online surveys.
She has been conducting research to examine the academic, cognitive, and socio-emotional impacts of modern technologies on different age groups (e.g., children, younger people, and older adults) and in formal and informal educational settings.
