Dr Sameera Senanayake is a medical doctor (MBBS) who possesses a Masterís Degree and a Doctoral Degree (MD) in public health from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Currently he is undergoing a post-doctoral attachment at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. For his MD thesis he looked at the health status, quality of life and household cost of chronic kidney disease patients in Sri Lanka. Sameera is actively involved in knowledge dissemination and capacity building of health staff, playing a key role in national programmes and is a resource person for in service training programmes, workshops and symposia in Sri Lanka.
Dr Sameera Senanayake is interested in epidemiological studies mainly in the fields of Chronic Kidney Disease, Occupational Health, Health Systems and Mental Health.
