Biography

Dr. Giacomo Mancini is Psychologist and Psychotherapist. He has over 15 years of experience in psychodiagnostic counseling and individual psychotherapy especially for children and adolescents. Dr. Mancini obtained his doctorate from Bologna University in Clinical Psychology, with a doctoral dissertation on Emotional Intelligence. Currently, Dr. Mancini is Junior Assistant Professor at Department of Education Studies, University of Bologna, Italy. He is teaching in higher education focusing on academic topics such as Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychopathology, Non Verbal Communication and Didactics and Psychopedagogy for Specific Learning Disabilities (this latter at Master's Degree, University of Urbino, Italy). Engaged in national and international research projects, he cooperates with various educational institutes and mental health services. He is author or co-author of several working papers, books, academic articles, and conference proceedings, both locally and internationally. Dr. Mancini is extremely passionate about working with other people (especially youngers) in individual and group settings, defining their purposes, passions, and plans for their future, and encouraging them to reach a deeper emotional awareness.
