Christos Τ. Chasapis received his PhD in Chemistry in 2005 from University of Ioannina (Greece) and Center of Magnetic Resonance (CERM) at University of Florence (Italy) (Marie Curie fellow). He did his early postdoctoral research in CERM from 2005 to 2006 and then he joined the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Patras (Greece) from 2008 to 2015. From 2015, he is a senior researcher at Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (ICE-HT/FORTH, Greece). His main research activities are in the field of Structural Systems Biology, focusing both on the structure-function relationship of individual proteins (NMR protein structure and dynamics) and how they interact to modulate the behavior of biological systems (NMR study and modeling of protein-protein interactions, expansion of the content and predictive capability of PPI networks based on structural information). Also, he is working on structural bioinformatic projects, particularly identifying metalloproteins in the proteomes and investigating protein dynamics using protein structure network analysis.
Christos Τ. Chasapis's Research interests are Structural Systems Biology and Structural Bioinformatics.
