Biography

Miguel Carnero Gregorio, MSc PhD, was born in the Galician city of Ourense. He studied the degree in Biology at the University of Vigo, where he also obtained his PhD in the Biochemistry, Genetics, and Immunology Department. During his doctorate degree, he was at the Nutrition Unit in the University Hospital Complex of Vigo (Spain), where he specialised in clinical nutrition, working in fields as obesity, glycogen storage disease and lung cancer. He was the promoter of a project in which a nutritional assessment application (eNutrimet) was designed and developed for Android and Apple devices. Most recently he is acquiring skills in personalized medicine and he is currently a Postdoc researcher at the Galicia-Sur Health Research Institute, where he collaborates in projects related to efficiency, quality, and costs in health services. He is author and co-author of several publications in journals and communications and posters in different national and international conferences. He is partner of the Spanish Society of Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (SENPE) and member of the Health Commission in the Official College of Biologists of Galicia and also invited reviewer of Clinical Nutrition and Hospital Dietetics, organ of expression of the Spanish Society of Dietetics and Food Sciences (SEDCA).
