Biography

Pedro Tiago Esteves trained in ‘Sports Science’ and pursued his postgraduate studies in the same area (FMH-UL, Lisbon). Currently he teaches in the domain of training in sports at the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda, Portugal. He has published several scientific papers and book chapters in the field of Sports Coaching, Performance and Decision-Making. Pedro has been invited to act as a referee for reputable journals on Sports Psychology, Human Behavior and Sports Science. He is also intensively involved in knowledge transfer through consultancy within the industry (e.g., National teams and Governing Bodies).


Research Interest

His main research interests focus on: the identification of the informational constraints that support decision-making in sports; the analysis of gaze behaviour that upholds functional actions in sports; the development of approaches that might potentiate training and; subsequently, the development of approaches that might potentiate competence and sporting success.
