Dr. Pilar Rovira Martí is currently working as a medical specialist in the Department of reconstruction and lengthening at Hospital Universitari Dexeus of Barcelona, Spain and she is working as a research assistant in study of real-time elastography musculoskeletal pathology in mucopolysaccharidosis at San Joan de Déu Research Foundation. She has clinical expertise in pediatric orthopedic surgery, the management of bone dysplasia, achondroplasia and the pathology of lower extremities in children. She also has expertise in limb lengthening, osteotomies and growth modulations. Dr. Rovira worked as pediatric orthopedic in Hospital Sant Joan de Déu of Barcelona from 2011-2016. She has performed different humanitarian missions in Africa for the treatment of children’s orthopedic pathology. She is member of association of Catalan and Spanish Orthopedic Surgeons, Spanish Society of Pediatric Orthopedic and de Spanish Society of External Fixation and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Rovira research interests are focused on pediatric orthopedic, bone dysplasia, achondroplasia, limb lengthening and osteotomy.
