I am a Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist practicing at Atlantic Health Systems in New Jersey. Apart from managing the ICU and running an outpatient practice, I am Co-Director of Research at Atlantic Respiratory Institute, where I am an investigator for multiple clinical trials of new, innovative and cutting edge treatments for COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis, Influenza and Pulmonary fibrosis. I am a Clinical Assistant Professor at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and I have a special interest in education of medical students and medical residents. I was the pioneer of Humanism curriculum at my fellowship program and also. I am currently a peer reviewer and editor on several medical journals including CHEST.
One of my research focus is quality improvement in critical care. I have published on a wide array of subjects including ECMO, reduction in COPD admissions, mechanical ventilation and multiple quality improvement studies in the ICU. I am interested in research related to improving patient outcomes and bringing down the overall cost of health care in the United States.
