Dr. Nasser.K.Awad got his Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry from Sohag University in Egypt and Master of Science majoring in Electrochemistry from Helwan University in Egypt. He got his PhD in Materials Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia. He is currently researcher at National Research Center in Egypt. His experties lies in these fields: Electrochemistry and corrosion of metals, renewable enegy and tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. In regard to Electrochemistry, he has experience and publications on Investigation of the corrosion of metals and alloys in different mediums at different environmental conditions such as Concentration, pH and Temperature as well as probing the inhibition of the corrosion attack using corrosion inhibitors. In regard to renewable energy, he has experience and publications on fabrication of inorganic nanocrystals such as CdSe and CuInS2, nanofibres and TiO2 nanotubes as antennas for harvesting solar energy. Eventually, in regard to tissue engineering, he has experience and publications on hard tissues such as fabrication of TiO2 nanotube based bone implants and testing their biocompatibility using osteoblast cells and soft tissues such as fabrication of polymeric nanofibrous scaffolds for tissue engineering applications as well as performing cell culture for the fabricated scaffolds. For example, fabrication of synthetic small diameter blood vessels and their endothelialization.
