Giedre Sirvinskiene is an Associate Professor at Department of Health Psychology and junior researcher in Laboratory of Children and Youth Health at Institute of Health Research, Lithuanian University of Health Science, Lithuania. She lectures development psychology and positive psycholoy courses for health psychology students. She defended her doctoral thesis „Infant emotional and behavioural problems and their predictive factors“ and obtained PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Public health) in 2014 at Lithuanian University of Health Science. Giedre‘s background is psychology, she received Bachelor degree in Psychology in 1999 and Master degree in Organizational psychology in 2001 at Vytautas Magnus University. Giedre is country coordinator in Lithuania of an international EU-B3 (European Babies Born Better) Survey, which is aimed to explore women’s experiences of childbirth care across European countries and is coordinator of the study in Lithuania.
Research interests focus on early human development, infant mental health, and psychological well being of women during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum, women’s experiences of childbirth care.
