Dr. Ihsan Ekin carried out his master research in the laboratories of the Faculty of Science and Medical Sciences of Fırat University in the area of "Effects of Various Antioxidants on Retinal Ischemia-Reperfusion in Guinea Pigs". He completed his doctorate (Ph. D) in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science at Dicle University in the field of "Fatty Acid Compositions of Some Molluscs Distribution in Southeastern Anatolia-Turkey". In many international and national scientific journals, he published several outstanding studies on nutritional values of Molluscs, (especially fatty acids, lipids, proteins, and their records) and on animal physiology. Many presentations of Dr. İhsan EKİN have been presented at national scientific conferences and congresses. Dr. Ihsan Ekin is a researcher specializing in lipids, fatty acids, proteins, molluscs (terrestrial, marine and freshwater), nutrition, animal physiology and biochemistry. Dr. İhsan EKİN is currently carrying out both the field and the laboratory works actively as well as care about endemic terrestrial and freshwater snailís species of Turkey which are under threat of extinction. Dr. Ihsan Ekin made department chairs at Şırnak University and has been lecturing in some countries with Erasmus programs as academic duties.
