Biography

Maria Eugenia Velasco Contreras was born in Mexico City in 1953. Graduated in Internal Medicine and in care of the patient in critical state by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (1972-1982) with a Master's degree in health sciences in clinical epidemiology 2001-2004 . National Medical Coordinator of the Medical Benefits Directorate of the Mexican Social Security Institute in the prevention, diagnosis and epidemiological surveillance of pulmonary tuberculosis, uterine cervical cancer, breast cancer, diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Smoking and abusive consumption of alcohol (1989-2017) Master's Degree in Research Methodology in 2010-2012. He has directed up to the moment 4 final projects of specialty in Epidemiology. He has published 4 articles in national magazines and has presented almost 230 communications in academic sessions, TV and radio, 10 posters in different national congresses. He has participated in different competitive research projects. Professor of Internal Medicine at the National Autonomous University of Mexico

Maria Eugenia Velasco Contreras, Research interests are technology for universal prevention of the onset of metabolic syndrome, tobacco and alcohol addiction, renal damage, diabetes, high blood pressure, metabolically healthy obesity, cardiovascular risk, cerebral vascular disease, senile dementia, Alzheimer's, heart's age, breast cancer, prostate, stomach, colon, pancreas.
