Dr. Bishnu P. Joshi is a Scientist at Agenus Inc. working in the field of Immuno-Oncology since 2015. He obtained his Ph.D. in Bio-organic Chemistry in 2009. Immediately after obtaining his PhD, he continued with post-doctoral training at the University of Michigan where he utilized his multidisciplinary expertise in organic chemistry, peptide chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology to address unmet clinical needs in the field of gastrointestinal cancer research. Before joining Agenus, he was Research Investigator in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Joshi has co-authored in over 50 papers which were published in well esteemed peer reviewed journals, >150 conference abstracts in various national and international meetings, inventor in 5 US patents, reviewer in several scientific journals and served as co-investigator in multiple NCI funded projects.
He has extensive research experience in the field of peptide based drug discovery that target various cell surface proteins in variety of cancers for use as diagnostic purpose as an alternative tool for guiding biopsy and resecting tumors for future diagnosis and therapy.
