Biography

Dr. Chen received her PhD from Case Western Reserve University. Her research focuses on biomedical informatics, which adopts computational approaches including data mining, machine learning, and network analysis techniques to discover biomedical knowledge and improve health care delivery. Specifically, she is interested in drug discovery, disease prevention, and precision medicine for metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancers. She has been working in the field for 8 years and contributed in projects funded by National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI), and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Dr. Chen has published over 20 peer-reviewed publications and received the best paper awards at renowned conferences. She has also served as the reviewer for the 6 journals and conferences in the bioinformatics community.
