Dr. Athanasios Chalkias, MD, MSc, PhD is a Lecturer at the Postgraduate Study Program (MSc) “Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation” of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Athens, Greece. Dr. Chalkias has a high level of expertise in Acute Care Anesthesiology, Perioperative management of critically ill patients with marginal physiological reserve, and Resuscitation. He is the Medical Director and Course Director in several International Courses. He has a large number of publications and projects, appointments in a large number of important Medical Committees, and has been instrumental in developing protocols and methodologies which improve the standard of care.
