Biography

Angel Arturo Lopez Gonzalez was Born in Pilas (Seville) in 1962. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Murcia (1980-86). Specialist in Occupational Medicine via MIR at the School of Occupational Medicine Universidad Complutense de Madrid 1992-95. Specialist in Ergonomics and Psychosociology Applied by the European Institute of Health and Social Welfare in 1998. Master's Degree in Smoking by the University of Cantabria in 2006. Doctor in Medicine by the UIB in 2007. Course Higher Diploma in Research Methodology in 2010. University Accreditation as a Contracted Professor Doctor by the Quality Agency of the University of the Balearic Islands (AQUIB) in 2011. University Expert in Statistics Applied to Health Sciences by the UNED in 2014. Academic Royal Academy of Medicine of the Balearic Islands 2013. He has directed up to the moment 9 doctoral theses and 15 end projects of specialty in Occupational Medicine. He has published 120 articles in national and international magazines and presented almost 200 communications and posters in different national and international congresses. Author and co-author of some twenty books and book chapters. He has participated in different competitive research projects. Professor of nursing and physiotherapy at the University of the Balearic Islands since 2009. He is responsible for the IUNICS health group since 2010 and is part of IDISPA's lifestyle group. He directs the magazine Medicina Balear since 2016. He has been Head of Studies of the Teaching Unit of Occupational Medicine of the Balearic Islands.
