Biography

Dr. Gagnon is Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at Université Laval, in Quebec City, Canada. He trained as a psychologist (M.Ps., D.Psy.), as a family physician (M.D., CCFP, CSPQ), and as a psychiatrist (CSPQ, FRCPC). He also completed a Diploma (DESS) in medicolegal medicine, and is a Certified Forensic Psychiatrist (CSPQ, FRCPC). While doing forensic psychiatry work, Dr. Gagnon focused his clinical practice on psychosomatic medicine and consultation-liaison psychiatry at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Quebec. He now mainly practices forensic psychiatry at Institut Médico-Légal de Québec, in Quebec City.


Research Interest

Dr. Gagnon is interested on the Expert’s opinion, its potential biases and how to improve the expert’s conclusions, written report and testimony. He is interested by occupational psychiatry, issues related to workplace mental health, and the the psychological impact of stalking.
