Lama Khouri comes to the field of mental health following a 14 year-career at the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations where she was a political affairs officer. She is the executive director and founder of Circle OASIS, a not-for-profit organization serving Arab immigrants and refugees. She is a published author and her most recent publication is a chapter in Julia Beltsiou's edited book "Immigration in Psychoanalysis: locating ourselves". Lama has participated in national and international panels, most recently she was a keynote speaker at the plenary of the annual conference of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. She is a psychoanalytic candidate at the Institute for Expressive Analysis, a researcher at Columbia University, and a PhD candidate at the University of Essex. Lama Khouri is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, Columbia University and New York University.
